If there was one thing I could tell the world, it would be to have a secret with your partner. It has changed everything about how we live together, share our lives, and of course, our love life too.
We are lucky to live alone together, no family members or roommates to worry about. We can talk freely and be open with each other. Our house and yard are our own secret world. No need to cover ourselves or hide the computer screen.
In public, it gets interesting. Soft teasing and bratting gets me a whispered threat of a spanking to come. Last weekend, at a extremely crowded event, he pulled me behind a pillar and gave me two hard cracks, but we both emerged laughing, so I doubt anybody was terribly concerned.
I love having alias names! When he sternly reprimands me with a harsh, "Carly!" I know I'm in trouble.
Not one single person in the world, besides us, knows the truth about our double life or this blog and it has turned out to be the most important development in our 30 years together.

I hadn't thought of it that way before but you are exactly right. Having a secret is special. Just the look that can pass between us when we can't talk opnely about something out loud is so very special.
